“Intex-press” Failed to Get Back to the State Distribution System

An attempt of “Intex-press” independent newspaper (Baranavichy, Brest region) to get back to the state-owned press distribution system in the second half-year 2010 was a failure.

Just as before, the “Belposhta” National Unitary Enterprise noted that cooperation with the most popular periodical in Baranavichy region was “inexpedient”. The “Brestablsayuzdruk” National Unitary Enterprise referred again to “the high overload of press distribution network in Baranavichy and Liakhavichy”.

Brest branch of “Belposhta” hasn’t replied anything to the “Intex-press” editorial yet.

Note: “Intex-press” is one of the largest independent regional periodical editions in Belarus. The newspaper has been published since 1994. Presently, the circulation of “Intex-press” exceeds 20,000 copies.

The newspaper was excluded from the “Belposhta” subscription catalogues and disappeared from the “Sayuzdruk” news-stalls at the end of 2005.
